Gomasio (sesame salt)
You will need:
1 cup of sesame seeds
1/2 tablespoon of sea salt
Wash and soak seeds with salt for 6-8 hours
Dry toast seeds in a skillet over medium heat until they are golden brown and smell amazing
Grind the sesame seeds with a mortar and pestle or suribachi until each seed is half crushed
Store in a sealed container or jar
